Hallo.
Hello. Yesterday Patrice Evra was team captain for Man United as they won the league cup final 2-1 against Aston Villa. Lots of people like Evra because he used to be homeless, but has still managed to become a professional footballer. As captain he was the first to accept the cup in Wembley Stadium and thereby join the world's best. He used to be homeless though. How has he managed it? With hard work, a pinch of luck, and a sack of talent of course. How else? I too like Evra, but his success sends a dangerous message to the homeless of this world. One could think that every homeless person would have the chance to become league cup champion, just because he worked quite hard. That isn't the case though. Lots of homeless people don't work very hard at all, they are level ten bums, sweat while eating kebabs and steal bread from pigeons. So they can't do anything about the fact that their footballing success leaves something to be desired and we shouldn't expect any Evra-esque achievements from them. Evra is awesome but he doesn't have to be a role model for the homeless - they won't all play for Manchester United and we shouldn't put them under this pressure. They've got it hard enough.

Kebabs and the Job Market
English translation follows the German text.
Heute habe ich zwei Döner gegessen. Beide waren ziemlich lecker.
Today I ate two kebabs. They were both pretty nice. Conversely, in terms of getting jobs I got one rejection and one offer. This means that in Crisis-Germany Kebabs are more reliable than the job market.
Have a nice weekend.

I am waiting for a bus.
English translation follows the German text.
Hallo. Also musste ich länger warten. Das wäre dann 12 Döner pro Stunde, also ca. 30 Euro, also 240 Euro pro Tag.
Hello. Today I had to wait ten minutes for my bus. So I thought I'd get myself a kebab. I did that and it didn't take too long so I still had eight minutes before the bus was meant to come. Because I had thought I might take the kebab home with me and eat it there, but then eight minutes had to be enough, I thought, and I got to it. In five minutes I'd seen it off. And I though, good, I've still got time to throw the paper away before the bus gets here. Then I threw the paper away but then, when the bus was meant to come, it didn't come. It didn't come in the next five minutes either. So then I thought, I could have bought myself another kebab. But then you obviously don't want to miss your bus while your busy ordering a kebab. That would be silly, particularly when you've just eaten a kebab so you haven't even got the excuse that you would have otherwise not eaten any kebab if you hadn't ordered one. So I had to wait a bit longer. I waited another five minutes and the bus still didn't come. Then I thought, it probably was in fact better, even if I could have managed time-wise to eat another two kebabs, not to eat them, because you can't start eating a kebab every five minutes of your free time. That would be tasty, but expensive. If we say you sleep for eight hours, work for eight hours and have eight hours free time a day. That would be 12 kebabs an hour, so about 30 euros, so about 240 euros a day. Then you'd need a monthly income of 7200 euros just to cover your kebab costs. That wouldn't be an outRAGEous amount of money, I thought,...so maybe you could do that after all, but no, you couldn't, because at some point the bloody bus is gonna show up.
