The Robert Green, the merrier

Nur eine kurze Meldung heute, aber ich kann fast versprechen, dass ab heute die Meldungen viel regelmäßiger und viel häufiger kommen werden.
Das Stadion, in dem das aktuelle Spiel stattfindet (das übrigens sehr jut läuft, denn le bleus 2:0 gegen Mexico aufn Sack bekommen und bloß ein "Spiel um Platz 3" gegen Südafrika als letzten Trost haben werden. Das finde ich ziemlich witzig.), heißt "Polokwane". Ich muss keine Ausbildung bei der "Sun" gemacht haben, um da die Möglichkeiten vorherzusehen für den Fall, dass England wieder nach einer Rooney-Rote-Karte ausscheiden. Polock Wayne? Too easy.
Was ich noch sagen wollte, das Tor gegen England und entsprechend für die USA fand ich nicht sehr toll. Es ist fast das Schlechteste, was Rob Green je gemacht hat. Wenn nicht schlimmmer. Fans von Belarus...oder Ungarn...oder Schweden, weiß ich nicht genau...auf jeden Fall hat er mal in einem Freundschaftspiel die erste Halbzeit auf der Bank verbracht. So weit so gut. Dann ist er aber eingewechselt worden und in ca. der 2. Minute der zweiten Halbzeit musste er einen Abstoß nehmen. Nicht sehr schwer. Eigentlich eine der leichteren Aufgaben eines Torhüters. Da hat er aber den Ball dem Gegner gekickt, sich dabei verletzt und auf die Seite gelegt, worauf hin der Gegner den Ball zurück ins Tor geschossen hat. Green blieb aufm Boden, wurde dann ausgewechselt und das ganze Land hoffte, er würde nie wieder im Nationaldress spielen dürfen. Die Hoffnung ist längst weg, natürlich.
Das Tor gegen die USA war einerseits schlechter, denn keine Verletzung ihm zugrunde lag. Andererseits war es schlechter, weil es in einem WM-Spiel stattfand. Und drittens war es schlechter, weil er im Prinzip selbst den Ball ins Tor warf, während im oben geschilderten Fall der Gegener mindestens etwas machen musste, ums Tor zu erzielen.
Etwas Gutes ist aber aus dem Tor geworden, und zwar das Video hier: es ist wirklich hervorragend und Green sieht in ihm auch wirklich dämlich aus, was ihn vielleicht motivieren wird, sowas nie wieder zu machen. Klar, die Motivation braucht er nicht so sehr, denn er wird sowieso nie wieder für England spielen (höchstwahrscheinlich), aber trotzdem. Das Video ist cool. Guckt ihr's mal an.

Just a short message today, but I can almost promise that as of today the messages will become more regular and more frequent.
The stadium, in which the current game is taking place (which is, by the way, going very well, because le bleus are getting scraped up 2:0 by Mexico and will only have a "third place playoff" against South Africa to console them. I find that pretty funny.), is called "Polokwane". I don't need to have taken a training course from the "Sun" to be able to forsee the possibilities in case England go out after a Rooney-Red-Card again. Polock Wayne? Too easy.
The other thing I wanted to say, was that I didn't think much of the goal against England and correspondingly for the USA. It is almost the worst thing that Rob Green has ever done. If not worse. Fans of Belarus...or Hungary...or Sweden...am not sure exactly...any way, he certainly once spent the first half of a friendly on the bench. So far so good. Then however, he was subbed on and in the approx. 2nd minute of the 2nd half he had to take a goal kick. Not too tricky. Actually one of the more straightforward tasks of a goalkeeper. He though kicked the ball to the opponent, injured himself in the porcess and lay down on his side, following which the opponent kicked the ball back into the goal. Green remained on the floor, was then subbed off, and the whole country hoped that he would never again be allowed to appear in the national kit. The hope is long gone, of course.
The goal against the USA was on the one hand worse because it wasn't the result of an injury. On the other hand, it was worse because it happened in a world cup game. And thirdly, it was worse, because he basically threw the ball himself into the goal, whilst in the afore described situation the opponent at least had to do something in order to score a goal.
Something good has however emerged from the goak, and namely this video here:it is really fantastic and Grenn also looks pretty foolish in it, which may motivate him to never do anything like that again. Obviously, he doesn't really need motivation because he will never play for England again anyway (in all probability), but even so. The video is cool. Check it out.
