1am

English translation follows the German text.

Guten Tag.

Hello. Today I am writing a short piece which combines both terms contained within the title (the English one and the German one).
Loneliness isn't pleasant. It's not about being alone, but much more about the fact that you're very aware of the fact. This awareness often hits you at times when you're usually not alone, or when you really don't want to be alone. Like in the early hours of the morning. Around oneish. When you're lying there alone at night, haven't got anyone to talk to, don't know if it will ever be worth getting up, on the other hand do know that falling asleep isn't a realistic option, you can maybe manage going to the toilet, then just come back into your loneliness, lie down again, it stings, but who's about to start cleaning around here? your wife isn't there of course, if you've even got one, you can hear other people laughing, whether they're actually there or not, you can't be sure, but you can hear them and they're torturing you. In situations like this almost everyone behaves in the same way, in order to get rid of the loneliness at 1am, even if it will be just the same the next day (or the next night), you still look for a short-term solution and you order yourself another shot...
