Excuses excuses

English translation follows the German text.

Guten Tag zusammen. Ich will mich verteidigen.

Good day one and all. I want to defend myself. That is a rather typical human desire. One rarely wants to admit that one has messed up and, even when one openly admits it, one generally has more sympathy and understands the complicated background of the messing up, which mostly leads to one being of the opinion that it wasn't quite 100 percent one's fault. Whether that actually has to do with arrogance or whether one really does understand better thanks to the immediate nearness, I don't know. Certainly, I would like to explain two reasons, why the Massive Blog hsa been so rarely updated recently. First the facts: I wasn't there for a long time and then, when I was there, the internet was too weak to be able to do anything without a lot of suffering.
Reason 1: When writing a blog I believe it to be important, that one has a sensible internet connection in front of one. One can write a text without internet, this text can then be published as a blog entry at a later point in time. Nevertheless, such a text is not a true blog text, because it has not been created as blog text. That means, it doesn't have the access to the World Wibe Web (internet), that makes a blog post what it is. For example, as I am currently sitting in front of the internet, I can put "horse meat, usa" into Google and link to this webpage. In another situation this would be completely impossible.
Reason 2: A published blog post is a final entity. It is however, during the writing process, corrected edited and altered etc. Even if it sometimes hard to believe it when reading the final posts, that much work has gone into the correction, it has. The brilliant or possibly terrible, but certainly integral thing about a blog post is that every trace of the deleted or edited is gone. Whoever so writeth his blog posts with a pencil, he can erase that which is to be delated, but this is somewhat more difficult with a biro. Even the use of Tipex is not completly satisfying.
Those are the two reasons. Hopefully I will be able to kick into a bit of a run over the next few days and be able to write with such a high frequency that I don't feel the need with every post to justify myself, and the fact that I've written so infrequently. It wouldn't be a bad thing, if I were to start actually writing something instead of just apologising for not having written anything.
I hope it comes off.
See you soon,
The creator of the Massive Blog.
